Managing Users Folder Permissions

Date: 3/14/2018 Catagory : How-To

Managing users and the folders they have access to in Document Archiver is a breeze. First in order to change permissions you must be logged in as your groups administrator.

Once logged in as an administrator and have entered Document Archiver enter any directory that you would like to set user permissions for.

Now at the tool bar at the top select the puzzle piece icon that says "Permissions".

Select the users name you wish to adjust permissions for.

Now on the right you can choose whether or not the user is allowed to view the contents of the folder with the "Read" permission, or if they have access to overwrite or add files with the "Write" permission. When finished press "Save".

Any Read or Write permission you give a user in a higher directory will be Inherited for all sub-directories beneath it.

Repeat these steps for all users and directories you wish to adjust.
